Aging members of our community are facing unique needs as the housing crisis makes it nearly impossible to downsize, and the increasing cost of materials and skilled labor make critical home repairs and accessibility modifications unachievable for many households on a fixed income. In partnership with Emmet County, we have created a program to help our elders remain in their homes safely and affordably. Eligible needs include but are not limited to:

•    Accessibility modifications: entry ramps, bathroom reconfiguration, grab bars, etc.
•    Home system repair or replacement: water heater, furnace, septic system, well, electric, plumbing, etc.
•    Home mainten ance: roof replacement, structural issues, windows or siding replacement, etc.
•    Overcrowding

This program is only available in Emmet county to those that fall under the following income guidelines. If your home is in Charlevoix county or you fall above the maximum income please refer to our Home Repair Program.
