Rachel grew up in the metro-Detroit area though now proudly calls Northern Michigan home. There's nothing like autumn in Northern Michigan! She graduated from Eastern Michigan University in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in History. She served as the Project Manager for the Michilimackinac Historical Society in St. Ignace where she coordinated a capital campaign project. Rachel brings her love of the Northern Michigan region, passion for community involvement, and leadership skills to Habitat for Humanity and is excited to join the Habitat team!
Zac grew up along the beach of Lake Huron in Presque Isle county. After graduating from Onaway High School in 2007 he attended Northwood University, majoring in marketing and business management. In 2011 he completed the courses necessary to earn his CDL-A license and took to the road working for a trucking company out of Green Bay, Wisconsin. This gave him the opportunity to travel the country. In 2012, wanting to be closer to family and the community where he grew up, he moved back to Northern Michigan and accepted a job at a sporting goods retailer. He quickly advanced his position and gained much experience in retail management, working at two different store locations.

Emily was raised in Macomb, MI then studied at Grand Valley State University in Grand Rapids, Mi. Upon graduation, she moved to Northern Michigan to begin a career in hospitality sales. Shortly after Hurricane Harvey devastated Texas, she flew down and rebuilt homes for the hurricane victims through a local organization. While in Texas, she was touched by the resiliency and kindness of those she was helping and she knew 'housing' would always be her priority. While becoming more involved in the Petoskey community through her work she fell in love with Habitat for Humanity. She took every chance she could to become more involved and when given the opportunity to join the team full-time she was thrilled. When she isn't working, Emily is sailing, skiing, hiking, or taking care of her hobby farm.

Born and raised in Alanson, Gina is a local girl with a deep love for Northern Michigan and a passion for volunteerism. After graduating from North Central Michigan College in Petoskey she set out to achieve her goal of giving back to the community that she loves, and has done so by spending the last several years working for non-profits in Petoskey and St. Ignace. Gina has worked behind the scenes at many of the events in the area that we know and love, such as the St. Ignace Car Show, Truck Show, Antique Tractor Crossing, and Pond Hockey Tournament, the Blissfest Music Festival and Family Camp, and many others. Theodore Roosevelt once said that “far and away the best prize that life has to offer is the chance to work hard at work worth doing”. This statement rings true for Gina, and she is ready to work hard for our Northern Michigan families.

Dennis grew up in and around Elsie, Michigan; a small rural town of approx. 900 souls. He learned first hand of many hard-working families, unable to afford good housing. After a couple years at MSU, he got a job with ‘Ma Bell’, and moved to Petoskey in 1979. A few years later started his own business (YOUR Computer Services), writing relational databases, then migrated to ‘all things computer’, and networking. Dennis played baritone horn in the Harbor Springs Community Band for years, as well as ‘da Li’l Oompah Band’, here locally. He lives near Conway with his wife, Susan, a 1924 Ford Model T, and a cat. Most of his 4 kids and 8 grandkids live within 7 miles, with a daughter, her husband and grand-dogs near Grand Rapids. Dennis was a Board Member for Northwest Michigan Habitat for a few years and then had the opportunity to join the team as Program Services Coordinator. His passion is helping families and individuals get affordable housing and repairs; helping the same sort of folks in this community as those he grew up with.
Assistant ReStore Manager
Being a frequent shopper for years, Maranda fell in love with Habitat for Humanity and the ReStore long before she began working here. Born in Alpena and raised in Harbor Springs, Maranda grew up with a life long love of resale shopping. She is crafty and outgoing, and has a knack for making things look beautiful and seeing the potential in the donations that come in to the ReStore.
Maranda has a passion for hospitality and helping people, and found that her position at Habitat has allowed her two passions to combine into a dream job. Maranda is a wonderful addition to the Habitat Team and can sum up her feelings on Habitat's mission and her work here with this sentence;
"I have found a home and a future with my Habitat family."
