Recent Grants
Many people believe that Habitat affiliates are funded through Habitat for Humanity International and Government Entities, but our local Habitat affiliate is almost fully funded by local donors, grants, and income generated at our ReStore in Petoskey!
Thanks to this local support we have been able to continue building for almost 31 years, and we're just getting started.
Hestia Women's Giving Circle
The Giving Circle provides an opportunity for women to pool their donations to make a significant impact locally and to educate themselves about issues facing women and girls in our community. Their support has helped many local organizations, including ours, have the funds we need to continue our work. We are grateful for their recent grant, which is helping us to build a home for a single mother in Oden.

Great Lakes Energy
Thank you to the Great Lakes Energy People Fund for awarding Northwest Michigan Habitat for Humanity a $4,000 grant to help us purchase a dump trailer for our construction site. This additional equipment has benefited our construction team in their day-to-day operations, and allowed for increased efficiency at our build site. Great Lakes Energy members help to enhance the quality of life for people in our communities through the People Fund. Bills of participating members are “rounded up” to the next dollar amount and grants are awarded to non-profit organizations for charitable activities throughout our service area.

Rotary Club of Petoskey
The Rotary Club of Petoskey has been a leader of service in our community since 1921. Their club members are dedicated people who share a passion for community service and friendship, and they have financially supported many projects in Emmet county that have benefitted our community. We are excited to have received a $5,000 grant from the Petoskey Rotarians to help fund our four current home builds, three homes in Oden and one house in Alanson.

Walmart Foundation
Together, Walmart and the Walmart Foundation generally provide more than $1 billion in cash and in-kind to support programs that align with their philanthropic priorities. We are grateful to the Walmart Foundation for awarding our organization a grant that has supported our current builds in Oden and Alanson.
